Message If the pressure drop decreases in smooth pipe when we increase the boost, then larger piping may make sense at stock boost pressures, but with increased boost, the need for larger pipe is not as great. This may also be true for intercoolers. Sure the formula is not correct for intercoolers, but the basic relationship of pressure drop decreasing as boost goes up is the best explaination that we have now until testing is done. One certainly shouldn't assume the pressure drop would increase.
